The Kookmin University Anchor Project Team held a results sharing event for the “Video-Based AI Content Production Project” at the NC AI headquarters, unveiling video works created directly by students. This event was organized to share the outcomes of a non-curricular program that ran for approximately four months starting from last May. Participating students were able to significantly enhance their practical skills by working with the latest technologies actually used in the industry. It holds great significance because the program did not stop at simple theoretical education but allowed students to experience the entire process, from planning to large-screen screening. 1. AI Video Production Project Born from Industry-Academia Collaboration

This project, jointly undertaken by Kookmin University and NC AI, was launched as part of the Creative Industry Talent Development task under the Seoul Regional Innovation Anchor Project. The core goal was for university students to communicate directly with industry experts, learn practical skills, and produce results that can be immediately applied to job hunting and entrepreneurship. Over the past four months, participating students received systematic guidance to grow as planning-centric designers. Industry practitioners generously shared insights on the competencies creators must possess in the AI era and the direction for portfolio planning. This industry-academia collaboration model greatly helped students quickly grasp the trends of the actual industry beyond the school walls.

Participating students were able to further refine their individual projects through mentoring by industry experts. In particular, the special lecture held in the first session attracted not only the participating students but also about 50 students from related majors, showing high interest. They shared specific concerns about their career paths while hearing firsthand about the atmosphere of the industry in response to technological changes. This served as an exemplary case of how university education and actual industry technology are organically connected.

2. Production Process Utilizing the Latest AI Solution Barco

Students participating in this project directly planned and completed video works using Barco, an AI production solution developed by NC AI. Barco 3D technology, which creates 3D models simply by inputting text, was actively introduced into the actual production process. Additionally, a sound tool that analyzes images and videos to automatically generate appropriate background music and sound effects was also utilized. This provided a valuable opportunity for students to handle the tools themselves, expanding their creative scope and personally experiencing the utility of the technology.

Tasks that previously took a long time or required expert hands could be processed much more efficiently with the help of AI. Students focused not just on handling the technology but on fully embedding their artistic planning skills into their videos. The process of independently pondering how technology and art should harmonize and finding solutions was itself a wonderful learning experience. This experience will serve as a powerful weapon for students in whatever roles they take on when they enter society in the future.

3. Five Distinctive Works Filling the Large Media Wall

On the day of the results sharing event, a total of five works created directly by students were spectacularly screened on the large media wall at the NC AI headquarters. From the Pepperoni Pizza created by students Jo Yu-bin and Nam Yi-rang to Song Hae-yeon’s Sanshin (Mountain God) work, the pieces captured the attention of the audience. Videos of diverse genres were revealed, including Jeong Da-eun’s Love Ocean Star, Lee Da-hyun’s Aedergard, and Lee Seung-bin’s Seongbuk Local Department Store. The videos, ranging from comic-style animations to virtual idol promotional videos and 3D environmental works, fully reflected the students’ imagination.

Audiences could not help but marvel at the high-quality visuals unfolding on the large screen, offering enthusiastic applause. It was evaluated that the level of completion was impressive to the point where it was hard to believe that students had achieved everything from planning to final completion on their own. After the screening, mentors present at the venue and students gathered to share behind-the-scenes stories and impressions of the production process. The faces of the students, encouraging each other’s efforts and feeling proud of the results, were filled with a sense of accomplishment.

4. Special Certificates and Future Opportunities for Aspiring Creators

Kookmin University students who successfully completed the entire process were awarded the NC AI Barco Official Creator Certificate. This certificate will serve as valuable proof of their practical capabilities when they enter the relevant industry in the future. It holds great significance because they have not just completed an education but have secured a definitive portfolio of their own.

Various linkage activity opportunities will continue to be provided so that the creations made by these students can lead to commercialization in the actual market. Since the university and the company have joined hands to discover talent, systematic post-event support is also expected. Researcher Park Ju-ha of the Kookmin University Anchor Project Team, who planned this project, expressed that it was a meaningful time for students to experience the entire production process. Emphasizing that students have honed their planning skills by directly handling technologies actually used in the industry, she stated that they will continue to discover convergence programs. This revealed the university’s will to concentrate all its resources on cultivating core talent to lead the next-generation creative industry.

In line with this, Na Kyu-bong, Head of the Education Business Team at NC AI, also expressed his intention to further expand cooperation with universities. He stated that they would help in both material and moral aspects to maximize students’ creative capabilities by naturally connecting industry technology with the educational scene. A virtuous cycle of private companies and universities joining forces to cultivate future talent is firmly taking root. These efforts will serve as a solid foundation for the simultaneous growth of Korea’s cultural content industry and AI technology.
